So here is the story. I went out for a evening hike and it was crazy windy and some times would shift. Not perfect I know but I was checking out the area. So when I could down Into the bottom of creek bed I let out a bugle and hear one way off in the distance. I respond and nothing. So I just sit and listen. Then he lets out another closer. I started thinking about quietly leaving and waiting for a better wind but then he lets a growl and chuckle out within 100 yards. So I let a bugle out and then silently move up for the wind and sit a wait (solo archery) I then hear him coming in and see him at 65 yards but the bush is thick and no clear shooting lanes for the arrow. He then must of smelt me and turned around and then let out a bugle/chuckle and that was it? Wondering if it’s worth going back in to night with better wind or let him be?
