After a year and a half of frustration with a Nitrum 34 and a 27.5 or 27 inch draw, I got a BT-X 28 on sale and am so far quite impressed, primarily because the backwall is so much more solid than the spongy Nitrum's. I just couldn't get consistent form or tension with the nitrum because of my draw length/cam settings and the give in the backwall. I was either over extended at 27.5 (no grip on bow) or slightly short and getting kicked forward on the 27-inch setting. Plus I have had a bear of a time tuning it.
So far the Bowtech tuned up immediately and I am stacking arrows incredibly well (for me anyway) at 50 yards. The consistency in my anchor, bow arm, and release are great with that backwall and length, and the grip is much nicer than the Hoyt was in my hand. And, I had to have a side stabilizer to counter balance my tight spot quiver with the Hoyt, but the BT-X doesn't seem to need it yet. I guess the front pressure is also much more solid and consistent with that hard backwall?
Hopefully my limbs don't blow up, which it sounds like it happens somewhat regularly. Has anyone here had that happen? Any thoughts on this bow from folks who know it well?
Thanks in advance...
