Has anyone had extraction issues with their BRX1?
My BRX1 experiences failures to extract so severe that the bolt cannot be retracted by hand. I have shot less than 50
rounds, and 5-10 of them I had to lightly mortar the stock on the table to get the bolt open.
The issue seems to worsen later into the 10 round magazine as the barrel warms, typically around 7-8 rounds in, and then earlier on in subsequent mags after cooling.
I have fired Hornady, Federal, Sellier & Bellot, and AAC: All demonstrate the same issue to varying degrees, and all work fine in my Savage. I have cleaned and dried the chamber with a patch. I have oiled the bolt.
I tried to open the bolt so hard my hand actually hurts. It’s insane.
My BRX1 is now on its way back to Beretta, but I hear their repair process is horrifically slow and frequently they fix nothing.
