I have an older SKB Freedom bow case that I lost the keys to. I contacted SKB to see if they have replacement latches that fit that case. While I wait for them to respond I was looking at new cases. I don't want to spend more than I have to for a case that is good enough to fly with. Looking for suggestions for a budget airline worthy case.

Budget and airline worthy, in the same sentence? Guess that depends on:
1) how much do you fly with it
2) how much is your bow worth to you.

I’ve had my case over 20-25years, and it’s been on a lot of trips. The extra cost to get to get a good aluminum case, back then, was worth it. It is a Kalispel brand, but don’t think it is made anymore.

One can spend Upwards of $600 on a great case or I imagine less than half that on one that will work fine. Budget would mean on the low side. I can drive anywhere I want to hunt except AK so this case may fly once or twice.

I don’t think I would want to fly with anything less than a SKB. Airline employees/TSA aren’t gentle with bags. Never put any hunting related stickers on your luggage/case, a lot of people will intentionally abuse your case if they are anti hunters. I actually put “camera equipment” sticker on my bow case.
