So when I went to get it I wanted to save weight and make it simple. I bought a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard in 38 special +P It is a hammerless revolver and has the Crimson laser on it. I have not shot it but when I took it home and turned on the laser it is about 4 inches to the right of where I see the target through the sights at home at close range ..maybe 6 feet. So being me I start to read the instructions and it says not to turn the screws more than one turn. ": it has been pre-adjusted" to the actual target. Anyone used one of these? seems like 4 inches is a lot of windage and I might have voided my warranty given I turned it more than one turn.

I doubt that they really did a thorough job of sighting it in. Probably "close enough" is all. Try shooting it with the ammo you are going to carry, and make adjustments from there.

Crimson Trace is an outstanding company but they, like everyone else, can get busy - the adjustments are touchy meaning a full turn on either moves a long way - The one I put on my 351PD 22 mag was out that far and not even a full turn put it that far out on the other side - be patient and don't lose the allen wrenches !
