Boss Hogg or Tommy Hogg - Dial turn hard?

So I just bought a Boss Hogg from a member on archery talk and the sight is brand new. The dial seems to turn hard and have a strachy feel to it? Anyone else have this problem. Im convinced that this was never used. is there a break in period

I have a tommy hogg and did't have any issues. There is a little tension while you turn it but it's very smooth. I would call spot hogg and talk to them, they are very easy to work with.

On one side of the dial, you will see 2 screws:

Loosen those by maybe a 1/8 of a turn. Should smooth it out. That's what they are for.
