BOG POD Death grip modification to allow ARCA rail.
After seeing a recent post for updating a BOG DG with a ball head for better panning, I figured I would use this for a thermal set up. Added an ARCA rail to the KRG. I need a better one, had a 3” laying around that came on another rifle I traded into. I’ll upgrade to something better than the MLok version for the Bravo.
$25 ball head from Amazon. Make sure it has a 3/8 female threaded mount on the bottom.
80 cent 3/8x3” bolt from Depot
Scrap 2x3. Could use a 2x4. It will just sit taller
Drill hole and tighten down. If it slips I’ll add a flat and a lock washer.
Holds my 12lb rig with no stress on the stock or action from the clamp. KRG Bravo. RA Ranch G1 in 6.5 Grendel, Ultra 9 and NF SHV. SHV is for sale and will be replaced by my thermal.
All in $30 and 10mins of effort.
