I have but only sit in a tree stand maybe once a year. Haven't climbed a tree yet this year.

I am about to abandon the treestands. I am tired of sitting and getting cold hoping something walks by. I would rather be stalking or in a ground blind when it is really nasty.

I hear ya! About the only time I sit in a blind even is when we bring along the kids. When it's cold a mr. Buddy heater is awesome. We picked one up this fall and it's great. Super quiet too, we had deer within 10 yards of the blind and didn't notice it.

The ground blinds have saved me this year. It has already been cold and blowing hard. It is nice to be out of the wind. I like that I can put a pop up in a field let the deer get use to it and then through a decoy out and watch the bucks get all worked up. I also am not dependent on finding a perfect tree to hang a stand from.
