Curious if anyone has used this sight? I saw S&S has their own version with dovetail. It looks like a good lightweight option with lots of flexibility and good pins. Has anyone compared this sight or Black Gold pro sights in general to Spot Hogg or any others and preferred the Black Gold? No micro but I don’t think that’s a deal breaker for me. Thanks!

Have one. Haven’t compared it to anything else. Been solid for me. Pulled one pin so im down to a 2 pin version. 30y pin and 40y pin that I slide.

I have a pro sight, love it. Also have a mountain lite with a micro adjust head, live that too. Compared to Spot High, pins are brighter on MBG, both are robust, MBG is lighter. I think SH has the best dial though. But the MBg dial hasn't had any issues I just don't like how it sticks out..... For the record I sold all my SH sights and strictly have MBG

Spot hogg pins were way too bright for me at midday, the star bursts around each pin made aiming precisely impossible. The photochromic cover on the black gold fibers works well, the pins are never too bright, and can be seem up to last shooting light. I will continue using their sights simply for the pins.

I love my black gold pro sight. You can buy the black gold pro sight with micro adjust pins but I don't think they are necessary. I have them on my sight and they only help slightly when sighting in. You can build a custom on either black gold or S&S's website with exactly what you want.

I like mine, no complaints! I did however snap the second pin while sighting in (a little disappointed at that as I didn’t crank on it at all), so I contacted CS and they said no problem send it in and they’ll fix it up. I opted out of that, deciding on rocking the two pins instead. I have mine at 20 and 40, going to run a dual indicator for both yardages.

Thank you so much! The dial does seem far out. I’m also curious about spot Hogg not having first axis and MBG does. Did you have any issues with spot Hogg leveling it?

That’s good to know. That shell does look pretty nifty

Not at all. spot Hogg was dead nuts and I think have a better system. I just preferred MBG for pin visibility. My eyesight is diminishing

I did! Bought the dual indicator set, comes with 4 point pins.. 2 sets for different sight tape ranges I believe it is. I’ve been messing around with my arrow weight and have settled in now. Just waiting on a nice low wind day around here to sight it in. When I do so, I’ll make sure to put the tape where both pins will be functional. Currently where my tape is slapped on, it doesn’t allow me to hit both 20 and 40 with both indicator pins.

That is exciting!! I need to look into this. Thanks so much for sharing had no idea you could buy more indicators.

I now own the Black Gold Pro HD, the 3 pin version. I did not buy the dovetail version. I don't need micro adjustment on pins so chose this over the Pro version with micro adjustment. Love it thus far, now I understand why people love BG, the pin brightness is incredible. I also love that it comes with the Pro pins that are more tapered than standard pins. Seems to be very well built too. I now have it fitted to my Elite Enkore, and will be used for hunting, primarily.

My other hunting bow (Athens Vista 33) is fitted with a 3 pin CBE Trek Pro. It's also an awesome bow sight IMO, and has micro adjustability on pins, but the brightness of pins is not as good as the BG.

Black Gold sights are harder to source here in Australia, I had to buy mine sight unseen (pun intended) from a dealer a couple of thousand kilometres away.
