Bird Photography Basics: Backyards and Beyond with Olympus Educator Rob Knight & Camera Land

DATE November 21, 2020 - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
EVENT TYPE - VIRTUAL EVENTS

We are doing a virtual class with Olympus . It is free to everyone with no limit of people that can join.

Olympus will be giving a code during the event to save 10% on our website on most OM cameras and Pro lenses that weekend. Combined with the Instant Savings rebates it will be the best pricing on these products through the end of the year

Whether you’re traveling the world or spending time in your own backyard, bird photography offers many challenges and great rewards. Olympus Educator Rob Knight will show you how to make the most of your bird photography opportunities. Rob will discuss autofocus settings and exposure modes for different bird photography scenarios. He will cover the basic skills you need to freeze the action and capture sharp photos. You will get a look inside Rob’s camera bag to find out what tools he uses to capture wildlife photos from his home “bird studio” to the rain forests of Costa Rica and beyond. But there’s more to creating compelling bird photos than accurate autofocus. Rob will discuss creative techniques you can use to capture bird photos that are as interesting as they are technically proficient. Once you have all of the tools and techniques down, Rob will give you a tour of what he calls the “bird studio”. You’ll see how Rob set up his own yard to maximize the light, backgrounds, and more to capture great bird photos. This webinar is good for any skill level, whether you’re ready to jumpstart your bird photography or add to your bird photography skillset.

Sat in on this today. Good stuff. Thanks to Cameraland for setting this up.

Some great tips and ideas to get better photos by simply setting up some bird habitat in the back or front yard. All without being more than 30 feet from your beer fridge (if it's in the house or attached garage like mine). Probably the best part is all the skills you hone on your back deck at home will make those travel photos that much more special.

Anyone on the fence about getting into an interchangeable lens camera system should be calling Cameraland. They are running some extremely good deals. Their deal on an EM1 Mk3 will be getting my money here shortly.

Signed up for this, however, I forgot about it. Was this recorded? I looked on Camera Land's website and did not see anything. If so, please post a link.
