Hey there boys & girls! I finished my first AR build and it's awesome but a little on the heavy side. Im going to be using this for deer hunting this year and was wondering if there are any quick detach bipods. Its an 18" barrel chambered it 6.5 grendel

I always use a Harris of some flavor. Not the lightest but they are bullet proof. The 9-13" worked well for me on an AR. Could probably use the 6-9" depending on what mag you are running.

I'm a huge fan of the modular evolution bi pod, I've owned Harris, atlas, rugged ridge, and a couple others. This is my favorite by far. Easy to switch legs on and very solid.

Has anyone given the Magpul bipod a test run? I'm interested in how it performs... Getting a harris to do everything the magpul does from the factory comes out to be expensive

Gotchya, I was looking into those. My ideal plan would be to have a bipod that can quick detatch for when i want to go walking in the woods on a drive or something.

I’m the odd guy that has used Spartan, Atlas, and Harris and sold the Atlad and Spartan bipods I’m favor of the Harris. Of course you can over time add the spikes to the feet and get a QD mount for it as well but for like $125 you can get a Harris with a pod loc (mandatory in my mind) and be pretty well setup. Install a RRS mount on it and you can run the bipod on both arca Swiss rails and picatinny rails.

What height are you running?

Like 406smith the 9-13 notched let with swivel heads.

The Atlas PSR model I had just could lock up the cant as tight as the Harris was my main complaint with it.
Thanks Luke. I currently run the normal height PSR but will be looking to switch to the tall for a little more height especially with higher angles.
