Hi all,

I’m looking to add a MDT Grnd pod to my hunting rifle. Rifle is a bergara B14 ridge.

I want to keep my sling mount available so I’m looking for some of the pros and cons of the other mounting options (arca, picatinny, arms 17)

I know I’ll have to have a gunsmith bolt in a plate for any of these, but I’m not firmiliar with arca or arms. I’m also looking to use this bipod on my .223 (AR) which has an MLOK rail.

Suggestions?

Agreed on pic rail with swivel stud on the end. Adding one to the foreend of all my rifles. Hatch offers multiple lengths to fit your stock. They have tutorials on you tube for installation. Very easy

Getting the arms17 mount allows you to choose or swap between arca qd head, or picatinny clamp head atop your grnd pod(you'll need acquire your own heads). MDT will not sell hardware to swap over from arca to Pic, or Pic to arca if it was sold with one or the other.

I purchased a grndpod for it's weight, the tallest height was not enough to shoot at targets with much incline. It'd be fine if you also have a tripod to shoot higher incline angles. Put it on the womans rifle. She only hunts with me so if we need more angle, Tripod or my lightweight ckyepod gets installed.
