What's everybody's opinion on these? I have the elastic harness now but hate how they allow my binos to swing and bounce everywhere. The only thing I worry about the chest pack is if it will interfere when bowhunting. Any particular brands/models I should be privy to?

I have the Alaskan Guide Creation compact model and it doesn't interfere with shooting my bow.

The only 3 that get recommended on here is Alaska Guide Creations, FHF Gear or Kuiu. I ran the Kuiu this year and don't think it would interfere as it's pretty low profile. The downside is that you have to run the lower straps pretty tight so that it doesn't drop when using the binos since the upper straps stay with the binos. Thinking of trying the FHF next year especially since they now offer fusion.

I've only ran the FHF gear since I made the switch from the elastic type fiasco. I use it extensively for bowhunting and have no issues shooting a compound or a recurve. Even out of a tree.

If you're interested I've got a low profile Oregon Pack Works Binobro pro with the basement. It's new with the tags still on as I was surprised at how much I liked the much bulkier AGC pack and that's the one I'll be using going forward.

I'm a huge fan of the Kuiu harness and would recommend it to anyone. i could not stand my old elastic harness bouncing around. the kuiu harness keeps it tight to your chest and out of the way as well as protected. you will not be disappointed.

I've tried the "big" 3, AGC, FHF & Kuiu. Additionally, I have used a Badlands. I now run an ACG compact (w/a FHF rangefinder harness), and I sold off the rest of the bunch. The ACG is the most comfortable, and I prefer not having my binoculars attached. I also like the extra storage on the hood. The Kuiu was a super close second, but I couldn't use the rangefinder pouch because of the strap setup, and the top of the side mesh pockets were sewn way too tight to use effectively. I really loved how it opened. If the ACG opened away from the body, it would be perfect to me. The FHF is a similar style to the ACG, but the strap system is just that, straps. There is no real padding. The hood is larger too, and the sides are open so your binos are partially exposed. I know some guys tuck the hood in behind their binos when in use. All 3 have their pros & cons. You have to decide how you want to run your optics?
