been looking at tents for a trip and would like to go with a full floored tent like the copper spur or something similar
I have checked out the tarptents but the part I'm unsure about is if I got some rain how that would end up. if anyone has some info on that it would help

the main question I was wondering about is the biggest difference in the copper spur UL2 vs the Seedhouse SL2
there is some difference in weight of both of them and I can see where they have different vestibule opening and entrance ways but other than that is that the main difference?
I see a lot here love the copper spur UL2 but not a huge amout of info on the Seedhouse series.
anyone got any opinions. would love to hear them

I have both but have used the Seedhouse a lot more, only because I've had it longer. If your actually going to use it for two people then definitely get the Copper Spur. The weight difference is minor and the two doors/vestibules on the Copper Spur is a huge plus, and for one guy its really nice. The Seedhouse is a great tent but the single entrance/vestibule isn't as user friendly. I've had the Seedhouse in some pretty bad weather and it withstands wind and snow surprising well. Just had the Copper Spur in rain so can't really comment on its ability to withstand bad weather but I'm sure anything within reason it would be fine. The Copper Spur is a much more comfortable tent and especially if your using it for two people.

with the seedhouse and any other tent designed like that, when it rains and you in/egress it will get wet inside. the fly offers no coverage once unzipped. personally, i hate shimmying up into a tent, i would much prefer sitting in and swing my legs.

Probably depends on what you're gonna use it for. I have a dual entry tent (Alps Mtn) and it's nice for a base camp tent. But I bought a Flycreek 2 to use as an UL spike camp tent. It's much more comfortable than a Bivy sack alone and weighs a little more than 2#. I'd want the CS2 anytime I go and don't want to worry about weight. If I'm going long or deep then I'll take the FC2 for sure.
