I'm not able to go hunting that often so I would like to know the dates that are most active in the rut in PA. When do you see the most deer, sign, anything?

Thanks!

There are no set dates. Get in the stand when you can, play the wind right, and may the odds ever be in your favor. Big bucks can move anytime of the day once they're not completely nocturnal.

In 2015 & 2016 I killed nice bucks on the last day of archery. 2017 I wasn't able to get out much. 2018 I missed a buck on the last day. 2019 I hit a nice one on November 9th and it survived only to be hit by a car a week later. So I guess what I'm trying to say is the last week has been good to me but, I would get out as much as you can between now and 11/15. I saw 4 young bucks chasing a doe around pretty hard tonight.

They were moving all day on 10/31 in Potter County.
Every year it is different. I’m a firm believer that you have to put in your stand time. Unfortunately I have a job and am limited to Saturdays.

I’ve seek the most mature buck movement between 11/10-14. But I would say right now through the next 2 weeks is an excellent time to start getting out as much as possible

I live in Maryland and watched and listened to a buck chasing does for 1/2 and hour last night. Anytime from Halloween on is a great time to be in a tree. Pre-rut is just as good if not better than rut in my opinion, lock down during the rut isn't fun and when the does aren't ready there's a lot more chasing going on. So I would get out there NOW

I've heard a lot of people swear by halloween but I've seen the most rut activity the week of veterans days. Now with the extended archery season I think it'll be interesting to see what happens after veterans day. I can't really narrow it down to a day, but I'd suggest the week of veterans days or around then. Don't know what for time you get. Like others have said, everybody seems to experience different activity at different times in their areas. Good luck.

Like others have said its always different each year. Typically the good times to hunt are the last week of Oct until the end of the season. This year the season is longer and could be very interesting. I have seen a lot of rut activity after the season is over so maybe this year will be a bit different. If you only have selective days to hunt Id pick days around Halloween and then the last week of the season.
