Hey everyone,

I am looking to make a small MOA drop chart to attach to my rifle stock. Just wondering what everyone is using. I have tried a few but they are all in the wrong size/format

I run the numbers in the app, verify them at the range and build my own table in excel. That way I build it exactly how I want it, bold certain things and make it as easy to read as possible. You can easily change the size to make it fit where it’s going. I have a small one taped to scope, with a larger one with more wind data in my bino harness.

Same^^. I use verified AB app trajectory numbers, 90 degree angle 10mph wind numbers, add to small excel sheet as I want it, and adjust for actual wind accordingly in the field.
And make sure your tape or whatever you use holds to your stock well before leaving home and take spare dope cards.

I use the hornady app on my phone. Don't know about printing from there, but will just pull the data and make my own card.

JBM to get drops to actual velocity/BC. I'll range test at furthest distance to make sure it aligns. Then printed dope card in ziploc bag in bino case. Then piece of duct tape on stock opposite my cheek rest. On this I will write the further range dopes (e.g. 400-800) in 25y increments.

Also, I write these numbers upside down on the duct tape. This way when you're in position you can just tip the rifle on the side to read everything and they are the right way up when you look at it from this direction. Then tip the rifle back up into firing position quickly.

Of course you can use ballistic app in binos, but always good to have paper backup in case of electronics failure or bad weather giving incorrect readings/dope vs. estimate.

I also create my own chart, then laminate it at the size that will fit into my bino harness. I use a couple of different ballistic apps to see what the differences are, but they always need to be verified.

What are y'all doing to account for changes in Density Altitude?

Whenever I hunt somewhere new that’s within a different altitude range I create a new card and save it for future use. I just an average out the altitude I’ll be at. Honestly I think that as long as I’m within +/- 1000 feet of my data then I’m within the “good enough” range for the type of hunting I do which is 0-600 yards. I do verify dope at the altitude I’ll be hunting at and never been surprised using this method. Obsessing over up to the minute altitude and environmentals probably has a place in longer range shooting, but not for what I do.
