My 30-06 likes the 175 to 185 grain grain bullets it's 1/4moa at 100 yards with the Remington core lokt 180 I'm wondering if there another good one for deer and hogs.

Hard to beat the good ole 180 core-lokt.

I’ve had good luck with the 178 ELD-X in my 30-06.
A 180 Partition is rarely, if ever, the wrong answer inside 400y.

You may look long and hard to find another ammo that shoots better. Nowadays the shooting world gravitates toward the fancy named bullets. Rem. core lokt bullets have killed stuff for decades before designer bullets arrived. My Rem. 700 - 270 prefers core-lokt so its what i use. My 30-06 shoots Winchester 180 gr Accubonds the best.

Unless you are changing the usage of the rifle, ( longer range, bigger game), I question what you are looking for. If I had a rifle that shot 1/4" groups with cheap, readily available ammo, my search would be over.
I plan on long range hunting but mostly long range target shooting max range 600 yards.

There has been more deer hit the ground with a Remington core lokt, Winchester super x and federal blue box than any other bullet out there.

Idk if this is true but I've been told that the eldx bullet is bad to act like a fmj. What's been ur experience.

I'm buying the stuff to reload but I'm just buying it one piece at a time so I don't go broke. Yes factory ammo comparing a cheap soft point to any match bullet or some really high tech hunting bullet the difference is significant.

IMO, the Hornady Whitetail performs a little better than the Core-lokts, but if I had a 1/4 moa round, I wouldn't be looking for a change.
I've never used the interlock horandy whitetail I've heard it's real good got a buddy he shoots it out of his 6,5 cm killed 3 deer and his 308.
