Has anyone had issues with Bergara and the BDL magazine fed rifles eating the hell out of the brass? I just bought a Highlander and it’s scratching the hell out of the bullet and brass when just cycling without firing. Bergara CS isn’t very worried about it after sending them pictures. Cartridge is 6.5 Creedmoor. Insane they know it’s an issue and they offer zero help.

Hard to get a good picture but the scratches run length ways up the case.

Sent in my b14 ridge in 243 for extremely weak ejection and asked them to check the cause of my scratched brass.
The weak ejection is only slightly better they said the ejector was installed backwards and said they changed the spring on the follower to fix the scratched brass.

I’ve shot it some and it’s not scratching the brass like it did but I haven’t ran a dummy round through 4-5 times like I did trying to figure out the ejector issues either.

Overall not super impressed with the service especially seeing as the ejection is only slightly better and still just spins the brass 180 of you really run the bolt hard like you would hunting

. If the rifle didn’t shoot so damn well I’d probably just sell it off to someone who didn’t mind the weak ejection of brass

This is what my brass looked like after a few times run through while I was trying to get it to eject better

I got Bergara to look at the rifle. They changed the floor plate spring to one with lesser tension and polished feed ramp and feed ramp lips. Cycles good now. Kind of a head scratcher that they would ask me to do the polishing myself on a $1,000+ rifle.
