Is the front sight threaded and screwed in? If so, what size screw and thread pitch?

I have a gun that shoots high, I need a solution for a taller sight. I am thinking of making a small ramp.

Did you mess with the shims? I think they all come shooting high but have shims to adjust it.

Benelli's are notorious for shooting high POI. I shim mine as far as I can and then, if necessary, add a Hi-viz sight which usually elevates the bead a little more bring the POI down further. You or the shooter needs to shoulder the gun and shoot at paper like you would when wingshooting though. Don't assume POI will be the same off a bench rest as it is when actually wingshooting and shooting offhand.

The owner had already adjusted the shims but still needs more height in the front sight to help with the "shoots high". He uses the gun for ducks and turkey. Currently "unacceptable" POI for turkey hunting at about 8" high at 30 yds. I still need to know the size of the front sight screw if anyone knows.

Thread size is 2.5 x .45 per a quick Google search. May want to validate that

Yeah Benellis are made to shoot high. Mine shoots super high, but I do just fine with it, so I’m leaving it. But if you want a lower pattern, or if it shoots to far to the left or right, then do some research on shimming it. That’s why they came in the box, and I’m pretty sure there is a manual on how to use them in the box also.
