Read a few reviews online and starting to have interest in these knives. Anyone have any experience with puma knives or any other benchmade knives in cpm-sv30? Just curious if it really lives up to the hype. Looking for a new hunting knife.

I bought a benchmade violli which is sv30. It is scary sharp. One mountain goat is all I've used it on but it's still sharp. So far very happy. You can send the knife back to benchmade in the offseason for sharpening. It will be interesting to see how long it stays sharp and if it is possible to sharpen on my own due to the hard steel. I don't have any experience with puma. My two cents....

I have a few bench mades my hunting knife has sv30 blade and is stated above is scary sharp and holds its edge I've done multiple deer and whole elk without a touch up. I always send them in for life sharp service. Benchmade is a top notch company.
