F&G confirms the first Grizzly Bear sighting west of I-15 in the Upper Snake Region
Trail camera footage provided to Fish and Game staff confirms the presence of a grizzly bear west of Interstate 15 in Hunting Unit 59. The bear was photographed by a trail camera on May 31, and was clearly identified as a grizzly bear.
FYI for anyone with a Beaverhead tag.
ALSO here's a shameless plug. I drew a unit 59 moose tag (turned in my Idaho elk tag). If anyone is hunting in 59A or 59 and has seen moose shoot me a message. I'll likely be hunting in the back end of September and would gladly help some guys get on elk if I'm seeing any.
