After 3 - 70+ hour work weeks (with a few all nighters) I was told to take Friday off. So with fresh snow from Thursday’s storm I set out for a little time out on the trails.

Headed for the south side of Mt. Evens. Followed someone’s tracks for about 1.5 miles. The snow on this part of the trail was not that deep so I took off the snowshoe’s. started slip a little on some ice that was under the snow and that is when I notice the tracks I was following had disappeared. Saw them back on the trial about 20 yard ahead. Could not figure out why they cut up above and through the trees. The next step educated me… that is when I slipped and fell on my ass. It appears there is a little creek that flows down threw there and had formed a 10 foot wide sheet of ice (mixed in-between rocks). Had to crawl up the side where I found the others tracks.

A few pic’s of the trip.
