BC Mountain Goat Success!!

Day 4-

Due to my body feeling absolutely tanked and still having a Possible 7 days left, I decided to take an off day at the lodge. Gave me time to get some actual rest since I had been running on fumes since landing and rethink my pack and cut weight on it as I hadn’t used a lot of the stuff I had taken up the first time and carried around unnecessary weight. Took a little day trip over to Hyder, Alaska to check Salmon Glacier.

I'm about 30 years north of doing something like that. But my brain still wants too. I didn't have the money 30 years ago either.
My ultimate goal is a white fuzzy goat.

Somehow missed seeing this when you posted it up congratulations and thanks for mentioning it on that other thread. Yep goat hunts are tough but amazing memories. The Stewart area is rough but very beautiful. The grizzlies hunt the goats hard whenever they get the chance, they are always a concern when we are up there too. Did you ever figure out why you had the misfire? It seems like Seekins rifles and Hornady ammo both can have that issue. Great choice on the 7mm Mag, still one of the best goat cartridges there is!

Thanks man!

And nope! Have fired multiple rounds since then and not a single issue. Out of all the times I’ve pulled the trigger with that gun and same ammo, the only misfire was on my first time I pulled the trigger on a goat.
