So I just ordered a nightforce nxs for my a-bolt and was curious what mounts to get. Being a browning, options are pretty limited. I'm looking at either the talley lightweights or Leupold. Haven't found many other good options. Would a rail be a better option? Between the gun and scope, weight is starting to get up there so trying to minimize it where I can ( I know worried about a couple ounces after putting a two pound scope on it haha). Anybody have any suggestion which ones to go with? Caliber is 300 win mag with a brake.

A few Roksliders recommended DNZ game reaper mounts for my 300 mag. So I tried them out and all I can say is they are great. Very light weight but also solid.

I'd check out the S&K Scope Mounts SKulptured bases and Kontoured rings. Put these on my Weatherby Accumark. A bit on the expensive side, but a very solid system and look great on all guns. Their site is www.scopemounts.com

Last year I went through the same thing with my a-bolt. Things are very limited. I ended up going with a talley one piece base and leupold mk4 rings. That being said the rings are heavy. And I would look for more options for the base. Check out the DNZ game reaper like the others are saying. The talley was the only one that I found that's why I went with it

Ive got the leupold dual dovetail mounts on most of my rifles and they're a solid setup. Im trying the Talley lightweights for the first time on my new 280 cause the weight is getting up there too. Everyone seems to love the Talley LW so we'll see

Thanks for the replies. I'll check those out for sure. How about the talley lightweight two piece bases and ring set? Anybody try em?
