Ball head adapter?

I prefer to glass with a pan head but I also shoot off of my tripod and a ball head would be much nicer for that. Are there any solutions to this? An adapter or something? Surely I'm not the only one with this problem but I can find the answer in my searches.

I carry a few different tripods but all have arca plates. I'd prefer to keep the solution fairly light and stable.

This is the ball head I've used for year's and works great for me, my tripod is designed with a quick attachment so I could take it off in seconds, but the ball head allows you to move the spotter to 90* and could easily shoot off it.

I'll have to look into this, I like the concept.

I've looked at 3 way pan heads also but I wonder how smooth they when panning horizontally. Anyone use one a 3 way pan head?

If you search for a leveling tripod head online you should find them. They are very close to a ball head, just more stable with less travel. It can be mounted under your pan head

After some research, I think the answer for me is a leveling head under a pan head.

This is exactly what I have done. It is much better than glassing with a ball head but still allows you to easily level your rifle without adjusting the tripod legs.

So what I’m thinking is the RRS leveling attachment plus the outdoorsman micro pan OR two guys ball head plus the Spartan rifle adapter. Be very interested to know what would you choose between these two options and why?
