Looks like it should work pretty well and the price is right.............Cat litter works well and is a lot lighter than sand.

Good idea. I took an old pair of pants. Cut the legs in sections. And then sewed the ends.

So fun fact. Make sure you look at pounds when you buy sacks of beans online. I ordered last year and ended up with 30 lbs of beans. So I have that going for me.

Anyone have an idea for a lightweight synthetic fill?

If you need something mobile I agree going lightweight, but if just using at the bench, I want the weight. I find having lightweight bags move way too much and more troublesome than the weight actually is.
