Backpacking chair?

For what it's worth, I just weighed my Helinox that I made a super lightweight pouch for instead of the heavy one that it comes in and it is just a hair over 29oz. Granted, that is only 3oz less than the advertised weight but for me, having the backrest and a comfortable place to sit and relax for long periods puts it above the stools. That said, I can see the stool being nice if actively hunting in a blind or in some other situation where you need to be able to have your legs under you to get up or move around.

I used the grand trunk microstool lastn year 10 oz and keeps you off the ground downside it doesn't have a back.

I like my chair to have a back rest. Otherwise I'd just keep using the shortend Z-Lite pad. The Thermarest Trekking with a prolite 3 short pad gives me a insulated seat with a back rest and I use it as the lower portion of my sleep pad as I use a Neo Air short so where that stops I use my chair to support the remainder of my legs. Neo-Air short (8 oz), Trekker Chair (9 oz), Prolite XS (8 oz) means its only 5 oz heavier than a Big Agnes Insulated Air Core, but have a chair with a back, which can be taken on trips away from spike camp to be used as a chair or a bivy pad. Just gives a lot more options than hauling a designated chair only. Plus its a lot more comfy than sleeping on an Hexilite style chair.
