I just got a new phone and re-downloaded this app and I was able to figure out how to reestablish my map overlays and addons but I cant figure out how to transfer my downloaded maps to my new phone. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'd hate to lose all of my waypoints over the past few years.

In for knowledge. I need to learn how to back up all my stuff before I sacrifice yet another phone to the river*

Only way I know of is to transfer the files to your computer from your old phone, then over to the new phone in the correct folder. Unless you stored the downloaded maps on your SD card, then you can just set the file path in BCN and you should be GTG.

I always store them to the SD so I don't clog the phones memory up.

I think I may have figured it out. Here's what did. Hope it helps

Step 1

- opened the saved map I wanted in BCN on my old phone
-clicked the folder icon at the top of the screen
- clicked 'share the data from this trip'
- named the file and clicked 'Export'
-on the same screen click 'share file'
-I saved it to my google drive but you can email to yourself as well

Step 2

-opened my google drive on my new phone
-clicked the file
-it automatically opened in BCN
-I was then able to download that map and way points to my new phone.

I'm pretty proud of myself...this might be the most techy thing I have ever done!

Awesome, I use this app too. I haven't done what you have but may need to some day, great info!

I just re-download the maps every time! I'd pay a decent fee to the guy if he'd figure out a downloadable program for my computer that would transfer my maps and waypoints
