Heres a film we put together of our recent trip in search of Golden Trout. Unfortunately we through this trip together at the last minute and forgot some of our batteries so we were out of a camera after the first day but we still put together some good footage. Give us your thoughts on what you think, what you like, dont like and what we can do better! We really enjoy sharing our adventures with everyone and want to put out the things people want to see. We did see a group stud bucks on the hike in during the night! Just stood off the trail at 20 yards and lets us look at them for a while.

Sweet video. I have always wanted to pack in and catch a few goldens. What elevation was that?

Off the top of my head I think it was 9400 or 9200 some where in the 9000 foot range. They have a really soft bite so it takes some getting used to on the hook sets.

Enjoyed it! Good job, fellas. Beautiful fish, awesome country and nice touch adding some 'Canned heat' to the soundtrack, LOL!

I'll be chasing goldens in the BT's at the end of this month. I'll have a good trip report for everybodywhen I get back of course. I'll also be scouting for bighorns as well, and think I'll be in a good area to see a few, hopefully.

Thanks for all of the comments fellas!

Yeah, plan is two days in, base camp three days to scout/fish the area, and then come out. Only golden lake is the area is about 4 miles from the base camp location, but I'm sure it will be worth the dayhike. I'll be out there Aug. 25-31.

Sounds like an awesome trip! Let me know how it goes, probably the toughest hunt in the lower 48 is the unlimited sheep.
