I am a non resident for az and I have 10 points. I just realized I can get another point by having hunters ed. I have completed hunters ed in another state. Can I get this point and is there a way to put this on my profile online. Thanks all.
Wow I just looked up the hunting az ethics course and its 300 bucks. Just like most az non res things thats pretty aggressive pricing. lolAZ does not accept other states hunter ed. You have two paths and can only use one of those for a point in the draw. Complete an AZ Hunters Ed course or complete the Ethically Hunting Arizona course.

It’s all about the cash!!! I don’t think it matters what western state it is they are all in on it. I got a shocker the other day for plans in NM. 40% increase this year. There are people out there willing to pay whatever the cost and it’s driving prices through the roof.Wow I just looked up the hunting az ethics course and its 300 bucks. I think AZ already clarified that it is cheaper and easier to just pay the money and complete the online course - it didn’t make sense to most non residents to complete the online course, fly or drive to Arizona, get a hotel and complete the “IN PERSON” field day…It’s all about the cash!!! o really, I apply in nm as well. Thats sucks to hear. Ill pay more for a tag but az is by far the worst in my opinion. The fact you have to buy a hunting license just to put in for the draw for a tag that might take 20 plus years to draw seems insane. Once you draw a tag Ill never put in for az again. Good luck if you pull an nm tag. It’s all about the cash!!! I don’t think it matters what western state it is they are all in on it. 300 for an online class when states like mine allow you to take online hunter courses for free, or allow other states hunter safety certificates count. Its definitely about the money.I think AZ already clarified that it is cheaper and easier to just pay the money and complete the online course - it didn’t make sense to most non residents to complete the online course, fly or drive to Arizona, get a hotel and complete the “IN PERSON” field day…
Not really them being greedy but allowing access to the extra point to the majority of people applying that are non res .
I lived there and still didn’t complete the in person hunter safety because it was a huge pain in the A$$z

yes. it says its required. Are you buying a license every year?
I’ve got news for you…yes. it says its required.
If you don’t want to spend the $300 you can take a trip to AZ and do one in person…300 for an online class when states like mine allow you to take online hunter courses for free, or allow other states hunter safety certificates count. Its definitely about the money.

Ugggh, you must have not applied in NM before, because you definitely have to also buy a license upfront.o really, I apply in nm as well. Thats sucks to hear. Same...Can someone pm me the every 2 year license thing? I’ve read up on it and I’m still confused.
Your license has to be valid on the day the draw closes. If you buy it right the previous year, you can use it for two years. The only downside is if you're doing mule deer too, you'll have to buy the license anyway for that.Same...
So basically you should just buy the license the day the draw closes correct?Your license has to be valid on the day the draw closes. BINGO and at some point it has to correct/reset the application end date and you just have to buy a license that year, along with a mule deer application/point later in the year...if that makes sense. So basically you should just buy the license the day the draw closes correct?
