I don't know anything about the deer, but I understand that the antler growth wasn't good on the Strip last year. This was directly from one of the MB top guides. I'm guessing that the tag holder just waited for this year to be better. With a 365 day tag, that is an option.

I was guiding with those guys this weekend and they said the last day of the AZ Governors tag is Aug 14, and there is still a tag to fill.

I wouldn't expect the growth to be any better this year. It had been very, very dry and it is an off-year in some NV units too.
