Our local (Russellville, AR) traditional bow club is doing its annual Bow Jam. Several well-known bowyers will be there helping folks build their own self bow. No entry fee - just buy a stave there (~$100-150)! You will go from picking a stave to leaving after shooting their on-site 3D course with your own bow.
Food truck/grill on site. Easy access to hotels.
Pets and well-behaved kids welcome. Tools provided.
No need to RSVP or sign up ahead of time - just show up and be ready to learn.
Free on-site camping.
Porta-potties on-site.
Dm me and I can drop a GPS pin to event location gate if desired.
There are usually several sales vendors present as well as demonstrations of things like flint knapping.
