After seeing first lite cipher, which seems to be fusion with different colors, and sitka subapline, i was wondering if anyone thought to do ASAT in a different color scheme. Maybe with a green, blue or gray hue. Not like we need another camo to choose from...I was just curious.

ASAT as a brand never would. their whole science concept says that most all hooded animals perceive the ultraviolet spectrum. so blue, and Grey appear almost "shiny" or "glowing". again..... can't be fully proven but decent science behind and some interesting feed tests. so that's why they have stayed with tan shades

Yes. I have always thought if ASAT was done in a lime green like Predator Spring Green, it would be the best pattern known to man for early season. I have literally had my hunting buddies look right through me wearing spring green - it was hilarious. They were as lost as the animals are....With that said, camo, in theory, is for the animal not the hunter so color is irrelevant based on why ASAT was developed in the first place. But ooohhhh how I wish....ASAT in green.....oh oh oh ;-) Light Gray in late season might look great as well.

I'm sure you could color dye some fabrics to get you the green you want.

I wrote them once asking if they had considered or would consider make orange. They said there wasn't enough of a market for that, which I found surprising.

I have some ASAT outfits including their 3D pro leaf suit. ASAT believes that brown, black and tan are the colors that are found on animals in nature which seek to disappear from prey. They also believe it is colors, such as green, that catch the hunter, not the hunted. For little it is worth, I concur.

I still think that pattern over orange would do well in states that either allow it or don't enforce strict solid orange. I know I'd buy two, light and heavy weight. I honestly am a believer in their pattern. Anecdotally I can tell you that my dog freaks out when I'm head to toe in it, and that doesn't happen with anything else. It really confuses her. And I've been danger close to more deer in ASAT than anything else.

I assume First Lite buys the rights to use ASAT. I wonder if the rights require that the base material be that beige/brown color or if they are just paying to use that branched antler look. If it's the latter, I would think it'd be pretty easy to print the branched antler part of the camo on Orange fabric.
