Has anybody else ever ran into this? I have recently been shooting the most clean and consistent arrow flight I ever have shot, but according to the 3rivers calculator my arrows should be far too weak. I have am shooting a Samick Sage at 46.5# @ 27.75" draw and my arrows are .600 spine gold tip traditionals with about 210 grains up front (insert and head included) and cut to 28.5 inches. According to the 3rivers calculator I need to be going up a full arrow spine stiffer and then some for these to spine right. These have been flying better than any other arrows I have ever shot. I figured that they must be weak, but that the fletchings were doing their thing and correcting them. I feel like I have all of the inputs entered in accurately and correctly.
A week or so ago I went to an outdoor range with a different set of limbs and a different set of arrows that should have spined perfectly together according to the calculator. That was a majorly frustrating shooting session with the vast majority of the arrows loosed flying poorly with lots of nock right action and lots of far left impacts. Stiff. Today I was shooting a .500 spine bare shaft cut to 29.5" out of the 46.5# limbs and I was having to put on a 250 grain point to get the nock right out of that bare shaft. Far weaker than what the calculator recommends, but the proof is in the pudding I guess. I was curious if I have some kinda wonky form flaw that could be causing this. I feel very strong and aligned at full draw and the arrow flight is very consistent with the "weak" arrows. Anyone have any helpful information or similar experiences?
