So I have a program on my phone and ran some numbers. Want some input from guys/gals with more experience building arrows.

I will be shooting an elite option 6 with 80# limbs @ 28" draw this year and looking to build my arrows.

Arrows I am thinking of going with are the Black eagle Deep Impact cut at 27"
125 gr point
40 gr outsert
3 AAE Max stealth at 9.2gr
12 gr pin bushing
4 gr pin nock
Arrow weight = 506gr

Shows me at 12.38FOC roughly 295 FPS, a touch on the weak side putting out 98#KE

Do these numbers look accurate to those with more knowledge? Anything else to consider?

You should be able to shorten up your arrow length at least another inch. If the deep impact is a 300 spine I can’t imagine you are weak at 27” arrow length. I have an 80# Answer which isn’t quite as aggressive as the Option 6. My arrows are 300 Axis at 500 grains with 27” shaft similar components except 100 grain and I put victory or BE in/out with 16 gr hit behind it. I shoot 282-283 fps. My program shows I’m right in the mid range for spine.

That's kind of what I was wondering, it is the 300. Arrow is just to the left of "ideal"

I have always had great luck using the Ontarget pinwheel software in the past.
if your right on the line of being weak go to the next stiffer spine. its easier to tune with a tad stiff arrow vs one that is too weak

Have you tried taking weight off the front ? 100 grns for your head in the software ? might be a cheaper fix than building new arrows. Unless high foc is what your seeking

I will see how 125 shoot/tune and go from there. That is an easy enough swap to try if I do see issues.

TheDeep Impacts 300s have a higher GPI, if you’re looking for more FOC the X Impacts or the Rampages might be a better bet. I also shoot an Option 6, 29” draw with the 70# limbs maxd out at 72#s... thing spits fire. My 300 Rampages are cut to 28”. 56gr half-outs w/125gr head. Arrows come out at 462gr, chrono says @ 291fps. About 15.6% FOC.

Now I want the 80# limbs though :/

Look at the x impacts. They are lower gpi so you could gonstiffer spine with more weight up front and get the same overall weight

My arrow last year was 28.5” 250 spine x impact. 40 grain outsert, 150 grain head 3 blazer vanes and fire nocks. 502 grains with 15%+ FOC
