Arizona youth elk?

So I’m a complete newb to this site. I am a dad of 3 boys and this year 2 of them are old enough to hunt elk in Arizona. We’d love to fill the freezer but more importantly create memories and a lifelong passion for the outdoors. If anyone can steer me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Currently live in California where there is little to no youth hunting opportunities.

Well I’m not real sure about youth deer but all the youth elk hunts are anterless. But the youth NR license is only 5 bucks compared to 160 for adult so I just apply my son for the regular tags

Are you able to only apply for one elk tag in Arizona?

You can one elk tag but you have 4 choices hunts on the application. Typically, only your first two choices have any sort of chance to be drawn, but a cow tag is very possible to draw in round three or even four.
