Archery vs Rifle opener POLL

Wondering how many guys go after archery if they have the option.

I just run draw odd/ success rate numbers and usually apply for best of both methods of take and just send it on what I get.

In a state with zero OTC, it’s more important to me that I can just hunt at all vs how I hunt.

Can’t kill em if you ain’t out there. I take advantage of my schedule so I hunt the opener. Depending on success I will start planning the later hunts

I usually busy with my business in September still but I do go as much as I can even if it’s just for a couple hours and I spend more time hiking. I usually get more time in October and mostly November so it seems.

I don't even apply for rifle, haven't for the last 15yrs. The only time I've carried a rifle for elk was a Mid Sept. Frank Church hunt.
I'm mostly a bow guy though. I get deer tags that are good for both Oct. rifle and Nov. Bow and haven't gone over for the rifle hunt in the 5 times I've had the tag.
