Archery mule deer 2023/2024

Looking to hunt either Wyoming or Montana with a bow for mule deer DIY, I am from South Dakota. Can anyone give me some idea on how hard the tags will be to get, dates and time of year I should expect to hunt. Wanting to go in October or September of 2024, anything helps thanks

Research it on the state's game and fish websites. The info is there for you.
You will be bound by that states seasons.
Basically September =archery, October =Rifle.
