Arca Swiss, BOG, and Sirui

Just a heads up, to anyone trying to mix BOG and Sirui. I just bought the BOG deathgrip ultralite clamp that goes on the top of a tripod to hold a rifle, it says arca-swiss compatible. I also have a sirui va-5 head which is arca swiss. Well the Bog is too small across and the va-5 doesn't clamp that small so it doesn't actually fit.

Now looking around I guess "arca-swiss" isn't very exact in standards as say picatinny so who is out of spec bog or sirui is up in the air. I've read the va-5 has criticisms the clamp doesn't have much movement, it is only a 1/4 turn open closed. But so far every arca swiss plate I've put in it fits until the Bog. I reached out to Bog and they said "Every Arca Swiss attachment has a different standard of what it is going to look like. So our design may not be exactly like someone else's" nothing else. No offer to fix anything nothing. So I'll be returning it, not thrilled on the "customer service", it was also a pain to find their contact since the "contact us" button on the bottom of their website isn't actually a link it doesn't do anything.

Overall not impressed with BOG so won't be doing business with them in future. Just a heads up to anyone looking at similar stuff

I noticed the width difference on the arca plate that came with my VA-5 head and the arca plate I put on my rifle. You can get more than a 1/4 turn by pulling out on the screw piece and rotating it, it's not ideal, but what I do to switch between my rifle and bino arca plate.

My Outdoorsman Bino adapter has the arca Swiss plate and it’s a tough fit in the sirui. I thought it was a standard size but evidently not.

You are pulling out out on the knob you turn to "Lock your plate in"? I boogered mine up shooting a rifle off of it all last year.
