I picked up a couple S&W M&P Sport II rifles a couple weeks before the election. Never owned an AR. Never shot one in my life. And I honestly don't know if I'll ever shoot the things. But I absolutely agree they are important guns for their intended use (personal protection and defending against tyranny) and it was pretty obvious to me how this election cycle would go so I got em while I could.

As others mentioned, I think they will go for low hanging fruit. For sure going after online sales of guns and parts as well as "high capacity magazines". So here is my question: as someone who admittedly knows absolutely NOTHING about the two new guns in my safe. Where is the best place (quality and price) for a guy to buy about a dozen "high capacity magazines". Or as I heard them referred to on the national news last night "high capacity feeding devices."

EDIT: My guns didn't sink in a boating accident. these colors don't run

Just find the best price you can on Magpul PMAG's and get those. Good luck finding them.

Edit: just checked and they appear to be in stock from the manufacturer: https://magpul.com/firearm-accessor...0ar-m4genm2moe.html?mp_global_color=undefined

30 round magazines are pretty plentiful around here. If you have trouble finding them, shoot me a PM and I am sure we can find a way to get you some.

It makes me laugh when people come in and spend 100 bucks on 9/556 because "they are coming for our guns" but walk right by the magazines...you know the one thing that is blatantly on the list of things Biden/Harris want to ban and/or tax. Not saying its stupid to be buying ammo but the next run will be on magazines. Here's your opportunity to get a head of the curve.

Not a chance they are just going to start confiscating. "Common sense" ideas like registering (the more burdensome the process the better), taxing, finding more ways to threaten people with crimes for ownership, using red flag laws, etc is much easier.

A reckon a lot of folks have been stocked up on mags since Obama's first election. They dont get used up like ammo.

Possibility of that but most of the people I see buying ammo would have been a little young to remember the Obama days.

Like I said, not stupid to be buying ammo but does make me laugh. I told my wife back in March that I was spending 100 bucks a month on ammo, primers, powder, etc. When I get to the end of the month, whatever is remaining gets used on magazines. I have plenty but still seems dumb to me to not be buying them if you have the ability.

I didn’t think confiscation was possible a few years ago.

I also didn’t think it would be possible for the government to tell hundreds of businesses they can’t open.

Or telling an entire population they have to wear a face diaper and that people would actually do it. 🤷‍♂️

Come to think of it, I’ve been wrong about a lot of things 🤣

There's a tall stack of history books at the local library that tend to make me believe that things like this are very possible.

Shhh, Don’t tell democrat Representative Diana Degette that.

“These are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

I just happened to pick up a few extra G20 mags recently, so I'm glad I got those when I could. Might have to start carrying a pack around with me everywhere I go anymore to be more fully prepared.

Might be true but Senators like Heinrich and Manchin would be committing political sucide if they vote for gun control. I am sure there are others...just the 1st 2 that come to mind.

Manchin said again today he would vote “no” on a vote to eliminate the filibuster.

Are any of you concerned about having your AR, AK and such taken from you or being made illegal to own ? I had one and never shot it ( bought when Obama was pres) so I sold it. Now with this clown, I feel I should have one again, just in case SHTF. The one I want is quite expensive, and I would hate like hell to have it taken from me, or becoming that we can no longer own them.
My State (ID) will refuse to enforce gun bans. So will WY, SD, MT,TX, FL, etc. Basically a lot of states decided years ago to give the Feds the finger when it comes to gun bans.

This is exactly how it's going to happen. They will try to price people out of owning guns first. Think of all the money they will make and get some guns out of circulation. Will gun laws really do anything about gun violence, no, but that's not the point. They just need to look like they are doing something, and if they get a few guns, but a lot of money....all the better.

an nfa tax stamp requirement for all semi autos is not a ban
No, but it is an infringement. Not only that but the dems seem to think that some certain citizens are too stupid, too poor, and/or too lazy to get or have any type of identification for voting purposes. An NFA tax stamp is not only an infringement, it is a qualifier for "only those that can afford the tax stamp". So not only is it an infringement, but it also separates which citizens actually have Constitutional rights based solely on the ability to pay. I would think the dems would be totally against that........at least in keeping consistent with their flawed logic.....they should be against that.

Yes it is, I was pointing out it was not a ban so states that say they will not enforce any gun bans is not really relevant if they go that route. I am pretty sure they will start up on 1/21. Lots of changes coming down the pike.

Gun control plan on the Biden campaign website. Worth a read.

I expect they will move on some low hanging fruit - pistol braces, background system modifications, etc. - that can be done by executive order.
Nobody seems too worried.....they obviously havent read this policy statement.....while underestimating Harris and the fact she is dying to make a name for herself as the Dem that “ got guns off the streets”.

They will try to roll out CA politics- its a given; attack the manufacturers, restrict what you can buy, create a registry so they can at least tax you every year for your firearms, make ammo harder to purchase, etc.

My prediction, They will start right away using the “ armed assault on the Capitol” as the excuse.

True they cant take away our right to bear arms. What most folks in free states dont realize is the Dems chip away at those rights making it difficult AND so costly to sell and own firearms or purchase ammo.

There are hunters on this site that worked hard to get them elected.
READ his statement.....now arent you glad you voted for them?
