Ar-10 optic recommendations

Hey rockslide family
I’m currently on the market for a “do it all” rifle scope that’s will be mounted to a Ar-10 chambered in .308 with proof research 18” barrel . The rifle will be used for hunting/plinking/self-defense. I look to shoot from 500-800 yards but I still want to be capable of shooting up to 1000 yards or more in the future. My budget is about 1-2k , I’m new to shooting so any advice/recommendations will be greatly appreciated ! TIA

I run a 1-6 x 28 on mine and hit steel out to 800 yards. IMHO I like the more compact foot print on AR's. A Gen III 1-10 Razor would be nice.

Look at trijicon credo 1-6, 1-8, 2-10x36. I have a credo hx 1-6 bdc red dot on a 14.5 and it's been a tank. never had zero shift no matter how much I abuse it. I have a credo hx 4-16x50 also on my bergara .308 that I only have 25rds behind the scope but so far super Impressed.

I have a 16in aero/ballistic ar10 I'm putting a 1-8 credo on it.

I run a Leupold vx5 3x15 on my roam. Never had any issues out to about 800 plus. That said I also use a Bushnell Elite 6500 1.25 x 8 it has a 5 plus in. eye relieif and is very solid scope.

I run a Kahles K18i on my 16" 5.56 AR and a a K318i on my 18" AR10. I feel like either rifle would do well with either scope depending on what was more important to me.
