Aquamira drops expire?

Hey I was up in the mountains outside of Yakima Washington a couple weekends ago. I ran out of water and used awuamira drops. I used the correct amount of drops and let it mix with the water and sit for 1 hr before I drank again. I have a separate lid for my yeti that I kept clean from the stream water. However since that day I have had an upset stomach. Can aquamira drops expire? What’s your experience with them?

tablets is all i remember at the moment.

Everything I've read says 4-5 years and most are saying as long as it's still yellow once mixed, the chemicals are active and working.

It was the first time opening it. And it was yellow when mixed. It could have been something else too.

Mine has an expiration date on the bottle. But I know nothing about it. I do know that they say liquid chlorine for pools loses about half its potency after about a month, and it’s worse if it’s stored somewhere hot. Not sure that is even comparable though…
