I just got an aerowool top from FL. noticed its only 65% merino vs 100% in the llano or 90% in the kuiu 125 and 145 tops. does mean it gets smellier quicker with less merino in it? if it did was it really noticeable or not very noticeable? Taking it out of the washer I did notice it dries a lot quicker than the kuiu and feels thinner to the touch which i like for hot weather hunting. just worried about how it might get stinkier quicker wondering how it handles multiple days in the field

No, I didn't spend a ton of time in mine because my baselayer is a t-shirt 95% of the time and for some mind boggling reason they haven't made aerowool in a t yet. But I spent a couple weeks at a time sweating in aerowool during whitetail season and it does not stink like synthetics. Seems to be the real deal.

I think the make it in a T for this years new lineup.

I wore the 3/4 zip top and 3/4 length bottoms for a week and didn't notice any stench.

I wore it during archery season in Colorado last year, I'm embarrassed to admit I probably only washed it three times during the month. I can't recall any funk at all in that top.

The extra synthetic is there for durability and quicker drying all while being a thinner piece overall. Wore it all hunting season and this winter ski touring, I think if there is a increase in funk factor I certainly can't tell. Even after a 10day sheep hunt in the same underwear and shirt I think I smelled great lol.

the aerowool should still be a non stink garment

I wore the half zip this past elk season, and I've hiked in it quite a bit. It dries a little bit faster than 100% merino, and it still does a good job at keeping the stink down.

And yes, they do have a short sleeve coming out. I saw it in the new catalog.

Smart Wool makes awesome Merino T-shirts - I've been wearing them for 3-4 years now
