Was planning on using my Camper shell on my truck to make a camp setup.
Yesterday while the truck was sitting in the front yard at the house the rear lift gate lid glass just blew out.
No clue why. After talking to some of the dealers for the shell I have that are somewhat local it could take 6-8 months to get a replacement and the cost is around $500.
So now trying to figure out if I am going to take the shell of compleatly and go a different route.
Seen pictures of the Kodiak truck tent and had thought this might be an option.
Was just curious if anyone has used one of these before that could offer some comments on them.

I do, I’ve probably got 40 nights in it all months of the year, coldest was -15. It works good, goes up/down easy and you’re mobile with it up (to a point)

I just picked one up for a deal I couldn’t pass up. I had a topper and spent a ton of nights under it. I have slept under my toneau as well. I haven’t had the chance to sleep in it other than setting it up. I have a short box ford and I can fit my cot in it. I am hopefully going to use it for turkey and bear. I think it’s a great piece to the gear puzzle.
