Really like my notch as well, the two vestibles/entries are great for storing gear and seam sealing was very easy. Only thing I did not like was the 4 stakes that came with it. I upgraded to some longer stakes and added 2 stakes and 6 ft. guylines from the top of the poles. I think it added 3-4 oz, but it's fairly sturdy now. I also got the tent with the solid interior siding which adds an extra ounce and some wind protection/warmth.

I've used a HS Tarptent for about a dozen years. Its a quality US made product- very light and compact with great customer service- heck you can call and quiz the owner if you have questions. These are the best I've found for light mtn tents

They are great tents. I have spent a lot of nights in them.

I second this. Our Double Rainbow served us well for many years. Henry is a great guy, too. Definitely worth supporting.

We've moved onto tarps now for weight savings, but if I were going to be packing in places where weather was likely, I'd definitely consider a tarptent again.
