Anyone in Heber Springs, Arkansas?

Hello Rokslide. My father recently retired and moved to Heber Springs, Arkansas. I'll be visiting him in the winter and would like to shoot a couple whitetail with my bow and fill his freezer (he's not a hunter). I'm pretty sure there are deer everywhere out there but I thought I'd send a feeler out and see if anyone can point me in the right direction. Not looking for your honey hole or a giant buck, I'd be more than happy to shoot a couple of does. Thanks.

Hey!

I’m in Searcy and go to Heber a ton. You can hunt all around the lake up there. Everything in the white line is a wma.

They also have an early urban hunt. You can hunt in town with permission on private property. There are TONS of deer up there. Lots of turkey too.

Awesome i see the white line you're talking about. My dad's home is right on the water, now that he's retired maybe I can convince him to put out some cameras and a stand. That's a big bear you've got in your profile, is that an AR bear?

Nah. Thats a Manitoba bear. Theres bears around the lake though!

I'm just a little south of Conway so not very far away. I'm around Heber fairly often in my service work.
There is no shortage of places for you to hunt nearby. You should be golden!
