Me? I wanna cut back on the drink, quit buying guns & invest less money into stuff, more into experiences.
There's a horseback endurance race I'd like to enter in Oklahoma, that'll involved me dropping a ton of weight AND learning to ride a horse better. Goals. šŸ˜

Who's resolving what this year?

I want to spent 20 nights sleeping in a tent on my outdoor jounts in 2020. Get consistently closer to wild animals.... spitting distance close.

Kiss my whiskey soaked ass, Boudreaux!
But I'm really looking hard at 15.3h spotted quarter/walker cross gelding.......trail broke & gaited.

COOL!!! Like I said, let me know when you need to start selling gear to pay for your horses! šŸ˜

HAHA. Iā€™ve never been much in resolutions, but I do say Iā€™m going to hunt, fish, and spend even more times outdoors each year!

Be back to mtn weight by April. (The holidays have been way too lax) Drink less beer and more good bourbon. Get back into archery, and spend 30 nights in the tipi with family and friends on camping and hunting trips.

This year I'd like to become a half decent elk caller and get an opportunity to draw back on an archery bull hunt. I'd also like to improve my fly fishing skills and get out on some new rivers this year.

Iā€™ll hold myself to this every day of January. Probably wonā€™t continue it the rest of the year. I like doing this kind of thing whenever I have an excuse to make life interesting. Iā€™ll probably fast the last 5 days of January as well. It makes me laugh when people talk shit about this kind thing as a fad or whatever. Theyā€™re just making excuses to protect their routine. I canā€™t understand why people blow up 50 pounds overweight every winter to just panic in the spring and have to crash diet. We all need motivation. Lets set goals, and hold ourselves accountable.

Anyone that wants to do this can check in here daily. This will hold us accountable. Iā€˜ll be out of town until the 6th, so Iā€™m starting until then. If you guys want, let me know. We can check check in here daily, whether or not we did what we said we were going to do.

1.) I want to make some life long good hunting buddies.....don't really have any.
2.) I want to fly in/float in to hunt the Frank for Mule deer. Never been. Anyone up for that?
3.) I want to catch a fish on a fly rod (preferably in a river, not a pond).

Whatever works for you. I choose to hold to a more normal ā€œroutineā€. Work out 4-5 days a week year round and eat healthy food consisting of wild game meat with lots of fruits and veggies. You know, sustainable things that a person can actually stick to. It makes me laugh when at the end of January I stop seeing these people that were doing hard core stuff similar to what youā€™re doing. Because for most people itā€™s not sustainable. But to each their own. And for the record I think 1 day fasts can be good for both the body and mind. Never have seen a need for me personally to do anything much more extreme than that. But you do you.
