Not yet, I wanted to do a backpack hunt in the monongehela forest this year but never did. Hopefully I can spend some more time down there before next season and learn the area better.

I'd be up for that. I live in Boones Mill, just south of Roanoke. I've been wanting to hike back up McAfee's Knob.

Craig Co., VA here. Relate to Blacksburg/NRV more than Roanoke but I get around the region for work. Relatively new to multi-day backpack hunting. Glad to see there is more experience in the region.
