Where are you located?
Post some pics, would love to see it.
Anson and deeley is a type of action, not a maker. Are you sure ec green is the engraver, and not the maker? Ec green is a reasonably common makers mark. Some are marked edwinson, some ec. I do not know if the difference is notable (fathervs son, etc) or just a different version of same maker, or if it is indicative of a specific time frame of the company. British guns would have had a makers mark and proof marks that should tell you quite a bit though. What info are you looking for?
Is there lettering on the rib or top side of barrels? On barrels under the fe, and/or the foreend lug? Side of action? What do the barrels and action say, and what are the marks on the water table (someone will need a good clear picture of this or to see it in person)? With that info most folks that are somewhat fluent can give you decent info.
Im not clear what you mean by the info being purchased and privately held. What info? You can likely get info and date of manufacture, at least approximately, from available info. You also may be able to contact the owner of the company records if they were sold and you want more info, although it depends on what you are looking for. DOM is often all that exists even if you can get records.
Some good info here in this link, especially in post# 14. Drew Hause was still active on sgw and the doublegunshop bbs last I knew, so you could post there and get good info. One of the posts also has a name address and phone number for the company records.
Please advise of any information re the following: E. C. Green shotgun Serial number marked "NO 2779" Double side barrels/double triggers Heavily etched metal on barrels/ trigger guard, including hunting scenes Etching on wood stock at barrel and trigger areas Metal stock end with screw
