Anybody ever hunt with these?

If it's the slip system he's referring to, yeah I have. Can't say much on how well it worked as a decoy but it made for a great hiking staff and umbrella. I was skeptical about it being strong enough to support me as a hiking staff but it quickly proved me wrong when I found myself using it more and more for support while side hilling. At that time, I was weighing 250-55ish and had a 25-30lb pack on. It will be going with me this year again. Their customer service is awesome too. I broke the camera mount, called him up, told him what happened and he sent me a new one for free. I'm using the pornographic elk pinup on mine.

The pros: Easy deployment and take down. Great resolution. You can stab it into the ground and lean it up against a tree to sit under it when it's raining.

The cons: It is long and not the lightest thing to take with you.

One of my favorite pieces of gear. You hear a lot of backpackers preaching about making sure the gear you take has multiple uses...this one does a lot. Its a blind decoy hiking stick shooting stick bipod for binos and for my camera its a sun shade umbrella hat rack at camp and when no tree close I use it to hold my dirty water bladder elevated while gravity filters my water through the sawyer. I put about 25 miles on it last year as a hiking stick alone and I abused the hell out of it. Bent the metal part that holds the foot. NP bent it back with no issues. Can't say enough about the elk mountain slip system as its in my top 5 pieces of gear. Some guys don't get it.. Doesn't bother me a bit. Call me the mary Poppins hunter I won't leave home without it. And Jeff the owner is top notch.

Love mine too. It's heavy compared to a trekking pole but it has so many different uses and is awesome to sit behind while calling.
